It seems that on St. Patrick's Day everyone of us has a bit o' the Irish in us. We wear green, eat green donuts and bagels, down Irish whiskey and even dance an Irish jig, if we are able! St. Patrick's Day in Phoenix
Phoenix St. Patrick's Day Parade
Since 1984 Phoenix area residents have enjoyed attending the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place in Phoenix, and proceeds south on 3rd Street from Virginia. The parade ends at Hance Park where there is an Irish Faire until 5 p.m. with lots of music, dancing, and family fun.
Irish Organizations and Events in Phoenix All Year Long
Irish Cultural CenterThe center is located at at 1106 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix. It is the home of The Academy of Irish and Celtic Studies where music and dance classes are the current focus. The Irish Gift Shop is online, too.
Arizona Irish Music Society
This organization, headquartered in Sun City, maintains a performance calendar, and a weekly newsletter of events. You can also find a list of Irish musicians there, with information about each band.
